Four Fun Things: Local Art for Your Home

Early in the year after you've deep-cleaned the house for guests, exchanged gifts, returned some, and cleaned the house again, it's a great time to think about redecorating. Here are four sophisticated local artists selling beautiful pieces that will be a great addition to, or start of your art collection.
We found Pritchett (who sometimes goes by Misha) via his show last fall at Zamarama Gallery in Everett. His themes include animals, men, and science fiction, as well as more abstract pieces, many with a Cubist feel. He's currently showing at Retro Coffee in Seattle, or you can contact him via Instagram.
Knutson's website is organized by the places he's lived. Click each location to see art he made while there; pieces that are still available display a price. Working in acrylic, "MAK" creates colorful, dreamlike landscapes, foreboding figures, and wildlife with personalities that pop off the canvas. To see his work in person, find his studio during Everett Art Walk.
Whether you love to travel or keep close to home, Person's maps and illustrations are beautiful tributes to your favorite places. Decorate your kitchen with beautiful images of food or collect her whimsical, space-themed narrow vertical canvas pieces. For the ultimate home decor, commission a custom illustration of your house you'll cherish forever.
Jones works in many media, but we're especially fond of his photography. With a lot of planning and patience, he puts himself in the right time and place to capture magical moments like fog on Jetty Island during an eclipse or the Wolf Moon appearing as if cradled by Three Fingers Mountain. Many of his images are available as high-gloss metal prints, which reflect beautifully indoors. You can also book Jones for a perfect family portrait.
All the artists featured accept commissions, so if you like their style but aren't finding just the right piece, work with them to create the perfect custom art creation for your home.
