Four Fun Things: Summer Events

With summer just around the corner, a lot of cities in Snohomish County will be rolling out their own ways to celebrate summer, fun, and sun. We’ve put together a list of some of our favorite local festivals for you to put on your calendar.

Cruzin 2 Colby

Downtown Everett

May 25-27

Downtown Everett transforms into a haven for classic car lovers Memorial Day weekend. Pop by Sunday from 1-4 p.m. to see cars from all eras cruise down Colby, then on Memorial Day proper, get an up-close look at some of these pristine machines.

Marysville Strawberry Festival Parade

Downtown Marysville

June 15, 7:45 p.m.

The Marysville Strawberry Festival is a celebration of all things, well, strawberry. The festival itself is a week-long (from June 8-17), but the big events kick off Friday, June 14 with a carnival, car show, live music, and of course, the Grand Parade.

Arlington Fly-In

Arlington Municipal Airport

August 16-18

A treat for aviation lovers. Check out multiple airshows over three days, a serene hot air balloon glow in the evenings, live music and more in this festival dedicated to flying machines from yesteryear and today.

Taste Edmonds

Downtown Edmonds

August 16-18

Sure, it’s the same weekend as the Fly-In, but you could do both, right? Downtown Edmonds shows its culinary side at this festival—voted one of the “Top 100 North American Festivals”—with a TON of food, live music, kids activities and more. Be sure to come hungry.
