Four Fun Things: Date Spots
February means there’s love in the air, and with love comes going on a romantic (or not so romantic) date with your sweetie. We’re all for a good date night, so we picked four of our favorite spots to share with you.
A Drink, Chowder & A Ferry Ride
The ferry terminal at Mukilteo is a true gem, with a lot to do all on one intersection. Start your date with a pint or two at Diamond Knot Brewing, then grab a cup of chowder (or a three-piece fish & chips) at the walk-up Ivar’s. Speaking of walking up, pay a couple of bucks to walk on to the ferry after your food and enjoy a ride across the sound and back.
Take In The Past At Flying Heritage & Combat Armor Museum
Get out of the elements and into history at Flying Heritage & Combat Armor Museum. Tour airplanes, tanks and other vehicles from different theaters of war. FH&CAM just opened a new hangar that is home to a live rebuild of a rare German aircraft from World War II where you can watch the museum’s engineers and mechanics put the plane together bit by bit.
Go Big at Bistro San Martin
If you really want to pull out all the stops for a date night, Bistro San Martin in Arlington is the place to be. Serving only the finest ingredients, the small, finely-curated restaurant brings high-end dining to downtown Arlington. Be sure to make your reservations early—this is a hard place to get a table!
Solve A Murder Over Dinner
When dinner and a movie just won’t cut it, try the Murder Mystery Dinner at French Creek Manor in Snohomish. Held twice a month, a ticket gets you a three-act mystery to solve over a three course meal. The Manor encourages diners to dress up to match the mystery of your choice, so go wild while you’re trying to track down the killer.
